If you are engaged in selling the car activity you must be careful so that you can avoid the expected loss from selling the car. Here is a checklist to ensure that you have successfully sold the car.

  1. Check the market factors which can influence your selling activity. There may be some seasonal factors. So you should check which season is suitable for you. For example in underdeveloped countries the prices are increased when the financial budget of the year is announced. Selling the car in that season may be more beneficial to you.
  2. Check the others that what their demand for same type of car is. You can watch television ads or other print ads to confirm what the market price of your car is. Selling the car by checking others demand will minimize the loss and maximize the profit.
  3. It is very important that how is the outer look of your car which you are going to sell. Presentation of the car will make long lasting impression in the minds of the people. There should be a show of your car in a way that people will persuade to buy your car.
  4. When you are selling the car make sure that you have told the state department which engaged with the activities of the ownership of the vehicles. This notice of selling is very much important that to make sure in future you will not be responsible of any damage or fine due to the car. Send a notice to traffic police and other concerning departments that you are going to sell the car and you are no longer owner of the car. Complete your paperwork to ensure that sale of the car has been done.
  5. Check whether you have made an inspection report of the car or not? If not make it quickly. This report is very necessary to show the customer that what is the condition of engine, tires and other instruments in the car? This report will escape you from future claim from the customer. It works as evidence.
  6. If you are finding difficulty in selling the car place a paper o the front of the window written “car for sale”. This will captures people eye who are interested in car buying. They will come to see you car. If you place an advertisement it will be eye catching and appealing to the people. So that they come and see your car.   
  7. If someone asks you to show your car arrange meeting with him as early as possible. There may happen that you can’t give him time and he will switch to another vehicle. So spare some time each day for the people who are willing to see your car for purchase.
  8. Selling the car activity requires from you the patience. Don’t be hyper or pressurized soon. Be relax and listen others voice but don’t reduce your price quickly. Negotiate for your price calmly.
